For the last seven years, Blaze has honed a facilitation process that sparks authentic dialog, creates community, and clarifies organizational intentions.
The firm has developed its own tools, such as Trailblazers (a highly effective leadership assessment that helps leaders instantly and visually see the collective power of their teams), Terminus (a role playing activity based on the 1906 Race Massacre that illustrates the power of equity and inclusion as cities shape and evolve), and Power Grid for Organizations (a process that helps organizations define the essence of who they are and how they are positioned in their field).
Our methodology is grounded in seminal works like The Art of Gathering and Crucial Conversations and is guided by the coaching sensibility of Lead Facilitator, Val Porter Cook, who is a certified executive coach for C-Suite and senior level professionals. The firm also uses transformative scenario planning, design thinking and even the formula for momentum to gain further insights.
CUSTOMIZATION
Blaze interviews each client in advance of the engagement to fully understand challenges, expectations, and political nuances. In several cases, each participants is contacted prior to the retreat to understand their concerns and priorities. This helps Blaze best tailor the experience. We also do a comprehensive final report and schedule post engagement time to discuss how to address key findings and implement new ideas that arise. Though we have several modules (foundational presentations), we always customize each engagement to optimize the precious time leaders take to spend together.
